Maybe I am biased, but I love a good map in a novel, especially if it is a fantasy. Maps not only help you find your way through the story, they also drop you into worlds that don't exist. And if like me you like ancient cartography, I can design the right one for you and your book – simple or more illustrated, depending on your taste and needs.
Whether you already have a sketch, or give me carte blanche following your instructions, I will do my best to do justice to your universe.
Creative process
Before you can book the service and pay the deposit, I would like to know about your idea, if you have any special requests, preferences and so on.
Once the bureaucracy is put aside, I will start working for you. I will provide you with constant progress updates and send you a low-resolution preview of the map, zooming in on some important details (city names, banners, vegetation, illustrations, icons, etc.).
I will edit the draft until you are satisfied, but any significant changes to the final, approved design will cost an additional €20.00.
What do I need from you
To draw your map I need several things, including:
- chosen dimension; including whether you want to publish the map in different format editions;
- if you have it, a sketch, even a rough one, of the conformation of the land, the points where there are human settlements, reliefs, watercourses, etc., including place names – otherwise I need a detailed description to help me understand the lay of the land;
- inspiring images of the mood or setting of the book, so as to include some illustrated element that recalls its vibes
The files you will receive will be in high resolution (min. 350 DPI), both in colour (RGB screen version and ready to print CYMK) and greyscale.

The prices quoted are net of invoicing taxes (4% on the taxable amount), the electronic revenue stamp of €2.00 for taxable amounts exceeding €77.47, the possible use and purchase of commercial licences for stock material (e.g.: vector files, images, typefaces) and/or modifications and additions that result in an increase in the final price, in agreement with the customer.
P.S.You will receive the file ready for use only after you have paid the remaining payment. Once you have received the final file, you will no longer be able to request a refund. Should you decide to cancel your booking after paying the deposit, you will be refunded half of the deposit. There is no refund if you cancel your order after work has started.
