Print interior layout is about giving your manuscript a visually harmonious and functional structure. It is not just a matter of choosing a font or aligning the text, but of creating a balance between readability, aesthetics and the correct use of space on the page.
It includes all the basic parts (title page, colophon, dedication (if any), subdivision into chapters, acknowledgement page, page numbers, index (if any), free of runts, widows and orphans.
Every part of it can be customised, from the simplest choice of typeface to the insertion of images, decorative elements, dividers, letterheads, etc.
Creative process
Before you can book the service and pay the deposit, I would like to know about your idea, if you have any special requests, preferences and so on.
Once the bureaucracy is put aside, I will start working for you. I will provide you with constant progress updates and send you a low-resolution preview of all significant parts of the book - beginning and end of chapter, scene dividers, colophon, etc.
I will edit the draft until you are satisfied, but any significant changes to the final, approved design will cost an additional €20.00.
What do I need from you
To design the layout of your book I need several things, starting with your ideas and continuing with:
- final dimension of the printed book (if you publish in both paperback and hardcover – in different dimensions– and want me to do both layouts, I will give you a 20% discount on the second layout);
- complete manuscript in all its parts (colophon, dedications, quotations, actual story divided into chapters and/or scenes, acknowledgments, etc.).
- any images, such as illustrations, photos, maps (do you need one? I make those, too!).
The layout of the ebook is to be budgeted separately, but you will receive a small discount if you book it together with the paperback and/or hardback format. Among the extra things I need for the digital file are any hyperlinks to your social networks, sites, or whatever. You will receive an .epub, .mobi and .pdf file.

Should you want a middle ground between simple and complex layouts (e.g. basic layout but with a customised chapter header), the quotation will be customised.
The indicated prices refer to publications for selfpublished authors on the most common P.O.D. platforms and are net of invoicing taxes (4% on the taxable amount), the electronic revenue stamp of €2.00 for taxable amounts exceeding €77.47, the possible use and purchase of commercial licences for stock material (e.g.: vector files, images, typefaces) and/or modifications and additions that would lead to an increase in the final price, in agreement with the customer.
P.S.You will receive the file ready for printing only after you have paid the remaining payment. Once you have received the final file, you will no longer be able to request a refund. If you decide to cancel your booking after you have paid the deposit, half of the deposit will be refunded. There is no refund if you cancel your order after work has started.
